Taking my own advice

what-is-my-brandI’ve spent to the past few years advising people about how to maintain an online presence, market an idea, reach out to customers. It’s time I took some of that good advice and applied it to myself.

Needless to say I was got a bit off guard when I lost my job. I shouldn’t have been. Companies are floundering left and right and I should have been more prepared, but it’s tough to put in nine hours a day and then come home and do the same thing for your own brand. But now there’s no excuse. I have the time and I need a job.

So please pardon the mess as I regroup and refocus my own brand. My portfolio’s not quite current, but it will be soon. I’ve made a resume, which you can download by clicking here. If you’d like to get together for coffee and talk about working together or just shoot the breeze, give me a call. (502) 387-0328. I’m all ears.

I’ve been telling clients about the importance of transparency when talking to customers and the need to be genuine. Let’s see if it works for job hunting as well.

By the way, I’d love to hear your opinions about this. Stupid idea to be so open? A turn off for employers? Career suicide? Let me know in the comments.
