I updated to Mac OS 10.5.8 this morning and noticed something for the first time. In the upper right corner of the installer window there’s a new button.
If you click on the button, information about the Security Certification appears, assuring you that the installer came from Apple.
This has probably been there in past OS updates, but I had not noticed it until today
