Catch Up on Your Carr

My New York Times subscription dropped in value last Thursday when David Carr died. He was the main reason I had taken an interest in reading the news again and became a Times subscriber.

I first heard of Mr. Carr from Page One: Inside the New York Times. Watching him bust the collective balls of the founders of VICE elevated him to rock star status for me.

Mr. Carr was very open about his past problems with addiction which made for a very heart-warming remembrance of Philip Seymour Hoffman after his passing, just over a year earlier than Mr. Carr’s.

I encourage you to check out Mr.Carr’s work on Medium and the Times. Page One is a must see if you’re interested how a print publications struggle to stay relevant and survive.
